One teenager has died and a second was left seriously injured after a motorbike they were on crashed. The boy who was killed was from Irlam and the tragedy happened in Cheshire.
At this stage police do not know which of the pair was riding and which was a pillion passenger. The youth who died was aged 17, and the other 13.
Cheshire police have now issued an urgent appeal for witnesses. The location of the accident is a long country lane running from Culcheth which goes over the M62.
In a statement Cheshire Constabulary said: "Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision in Warrington. At around 9.30pm on Monday 18 July, officers were called to reports of a collision on Holcroft Lane. "Sadly, a 17-year-old boy from Irlam died at the scene.
