A teenager has admitted coughing at a 67-year-old woman and shouting 'corona' at her. The 14-year-old boy, who can't be named because of his age, appeared before a district judge this morning following the incident in Ashton town centre last month.
Manchester magistrates court heard that after being confronted by the woman, the boy said he had done it 'because I thought it was funny'.
Prosecutors told how the woman was alone, walking through a shopping centre in Ashton town centre at about 4pm on March 17. The teenager ran towards her from behind, coming 'inches' away from her, prosecutor Cavi Choolun said.
