@charlie.smth TikTok page. Begining her rant, Charlie says: "When you are at the checkouts and something isn't scanning and they say 'oh it must be for free then'."No Stacey, it isn't for free, the bar-codes just not p****** scanning," she says in frustration.Charlie continues: "Number two, 'Oh you look bored, I'll come to you,' when you are just happily minding your own business.
No, I'm not bored, I'm just avoiding customers."Number three is when they queue for checkouts and are not concentrating. As soon as they notice the till in front of them is free, 'Oh, sorry dear, I was away with the fairies.'"No Karen, you were scrolling through Facebook, criticising people's parenting techniques instead of looking in front of you to see that the other customer had gone."Charlie then shares the "classic one-thing line" which is the joke she hears constantly and, frankly, is really sick of.She fumes: "They will load a whole two weeks food shop onto your till and go, 'Oh I only came in for one thing,' and then you've gotta laugh and pretend you haven't heard that 13 other times in the past half an hour." Her fifth and final pet peeve is when a customer comes to the till to ask her how expensive an item is and then "have the audacity to act surprised when they see the price".
She adds: "Why couldn't you have looked at the label that was directly under the item you picked up?"The video was watched more than 629,000 times and many people were sympathetic to her plight in the comments, with one writing: "I wouldn't have lasted a day in retail.
You have my respect."Are you guilty of any of these 'annoying' supermarket habits and do you ever try to make friendly conversation with cashiers?
