Strictly Come Dancing star JJ Chalmers has opened up about his close friendship with Prince Harry as they embrace fatherhood together.
The TV presenter, 35, first met the royal when they were nothing more than two “young lads in the military”, where they went on to serve more than ten years side by side in Afghanistan.Since then, the close pals have become proud fathers and the TV star – who took part in the 18th series of the BBC One dance competition – confessed in a recent interview how they often indulge in “dad chat” when they meet up.READ MORE:Strictly's Darcey Bussell ditches signature locks as she debuts hair transformation Speaking to Radio Times, the former Royal Marine revealed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ’s son, Archie, is a huge fan of the popular children’s TV show, The Octonauts.
He told the publication: “In some ways we’ve frown up together. When we first met, we were both young lads in the military.“It’s been pretty lovely to move into the next stage of our life – marriage, kids – together.
Now that we both have kids, we just do dad chat.“I know that Archie loves The Octonauts and my son James loves it too. The kids are a similar age and have similar interests.”However, the pair struggle to meet up as much as they would like and admitted their children have yet to meet in the flesh.The Invictus Games medallist shares two children with his wife Kornelia Chitursko, four-year-old daughter Hayley and one-year-old son James.Prince Harry also shares two children with his wife Meghan Markle, three-year-old Archie and one-year-old daughter, Lilibet.Although the pair regularly exchange parenting tips, the youngsters are yet to meet one another in person due to the fact that Harry’s family live across the pond.
