Prince William's hand.Prince George celebrates his ninth birthday on Friday (June 22).A lot has happened since George was first pictured going to school five years ago.READ MORE: William and Kate anniversary mug disaster sees charity shop accused of 'high treason'Since 2017 his uncle Prince Harry married wife Meghan Markle while his great-grandfather Prince Philip sadly died.He also saw the birth of his younger brother Prince Louis of Cambridge.But it was the moment back in 2017 when a fatherly comment by Prince William to son Prince George was revealed.Back in 2017 it was William who was tasked with driving his eldest to his first day at school as Kate was heavily pregnant.Cameras captured the Duke of Cambridge holding George's hand and leading him to the entrance of Thomas' Battersea – an £18,000-a-year preparatory school in London.Lip reading professional Jeremy Freeman told Daily Star what William said to George to ease his nerves in front of the cameras.As they walked towards the paparazzi, Jeremy revealed that William said: "They’re taking photographs of you because they want to watch you going in on your first day, Okay?"Then you're going to shake hands."George looked down on the floor and nodded as he listened to his dad's advice.The dad and son were then met with Helen Haslem, head of lower school, and the young prince put up his hand before saying: "Hey."George's reactions were a stark contrast to that of his father's first day of school some 34 years ago.Prince William looked happy in front of cameras, wearing his traditional school uniform and a double-breasted coast.He even gave a little wave to the photographers as he stood on the school steps next to Diana before his first school day.For more royal stories.
