This June marked The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and there were many Royal celebrations that took place up and down the country.
One in particular was a sweet moment between Kate Middleton , Prince George , Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they shared the fun they had baking cupcakes for a street party in Cardiff.
The Cambridges enjoyed a baking session in their kitchen and gave royal fans a peek into their family home as they did so. While many were in awe of the kitchen which was dubbed “unfussy” and featured many gadgets, it seems The Queen herself wasn’t the biggest fan.
Sally Bedell Smith, author of Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch revealed how Her Majesty feels about the kitchen the family had in their Anmer House home. “I remember when they had just finished renovating Anmer Hall, and they invited the Queen over for lunch. “They have one of those big kitchens with eating areas, and she said, ‘I can’t understand why everybody spends their time in the kitchen.’” Hopefully when Kate, 40, and Prince William move to their new home later this year The Queen will approve of their kitchen and dining area.
