Celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee has been dubbed a ‘despicable, British establishment stunt” and “a vanity project” by a Stirling SNP councillor.
Bannockburn ward councillor Alasdair Macpherson was the only councillor at a full council meeting last Thursday to reject a proposal awarding Stirling Council staff an extra day’s annual leave on Friday, June 3, 2022 to mark the jubilee.
