A pair of sisters have been fined £150 for feeding pigeons hash browns. Jacqueline Falconer, 53, and her sister Nicola, 48, were Christmas shopping in Manchester city centre on Wednesday morning when they started feeling peckish.

The duo left Primark to get breakfast from McDonald's, purchasing sausage and egg McMuffin meals to take away, Manchester Evening News reported.

The Worsley, Salford woman sat themselves down on a step in Piccadilly Gardens and started to eat. While they happily munched away a group of pigeons began to form around them.
