Elton John’s private plane has had to make an emergency landing following a terrifying engine emergency at 10,000ft. The rockstar’s jet was forced to abort the landing after two failed attempts when winds reached an alarming 80mph.
Fire engines raced to the runway when the third attempt was finally executed less than an two hours after the singer and his entourage had left that morning to fly to New York.
The aircraft suffered from a hydraulic failure about one hour into the flight which left about 10.20am from the airport. This meant that the plane had to U-turn while approaching the southern coast of Ireland, according to The Sun.
