Sir David Jason has scored a brand new role, making him one of the show's biggest signings ever.The Only Fools and Horses star will join Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend for a special episode of Car SOS, reports the Mirror.In the exciting upcoming series, fans will see Sir David help restore a Datsun 240k Skyline, promising another wholesome surprise for a lucky individual.Bosses of the show - which will air on National Geographic from March 7 - are determined for the signing to bring in night ratings.It comes as Sir David's show with Jay Bales 'Touring Toolshed' was temporarily pulled from air to make way for football coverage.The BBC2 series sees the unlikely pair travelling to help members of the public, professional makers, and enthusiasts improve their crafts.

A source told the Daily Star: "David is going to be a special guest on the new series. It's a big deal to have him on the show because he's such a legend.

Producers were absolutely thrilled when he agreed to take part." The insider continued: "David is one of the nation's most popular stars, so getting him involved is bound to boost viewing figures."
