Sheffield Wednesday have parted company with manager Garry Monk after 14 months in charge. The Championship club, who last week saw their 12-point deduction halved, currently sit 23rd in the table with six points from their opening 11 games.
Monk's final game was Saturday's goalless draw with Millwall, with the ex-Middlesbrough, Swansea and Birmingham boss receiving his marching orders after three wins, three draws and five defeats from their opening fixtures.
Ultimately he has paid for a dismal home record, with Wednesday recording just two wins in their last 19 games at Hillsborough.
He had also won just seven league games in 2020. Thus, Monk and a number of members of his coaching staff have duly seen their contracts terminated.
