A Scots mum was left ‘petrified’ after she walked in on intruders ransacked her home and stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery.
Karla Highfield was stunned to find robbers raiding her property in Glasgow at around 6.30pm on Wednesday. The 47-year-old is convinced thieves watched her leave before breaking in through a window and swiping £7,000 worth of gold jewellery, including her gran's wedding ring.
She has been left feeling extremely anxious as police hunt the thugs who escaped the property after being disturbed on Newbattle Road.
Now Karla has installed cameras around her home and is on high alert along with her frightened nine-year-old, Olivia, who is struggling to sleep as a result of the incident.Karla told the Daily Record:
