A Scots teen died 'in his mum's arms' after a chest infection forced his family to turn off his life support. Peter Kelbrick, from Drumchapel in Glasgow, passed away on Wednesday 24th November at the Queen Elizabeth hospital.

The 19-year-old suffered from cerebral palsy and was often struck down by infections but his mum Caroline Kelbrick, 45, ‘had a gut feeling’ that something was seriously wrong this time.

Peter was admitted to hospital on Monday November 15th before his condition worsened and he was put into a coma.Medics told the family they could operate, but his chances of survival were slim, or they could let him go peacefully.They then made the heartbreaking decision to take away the oxygen and replace it with morphine to make
