Megan Thee Stallion served as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live's season premiere this week, where she performed two of her hit tracks.
Megan Thee Stallion performed "Don’t Stop" alongside Young Thug, but it was during her performance of "Savage" that the rapper had the words "Protect Black Women" projected on the wall behind her and the dancers.
Megan's message is particularly important in 2020 amid the Black Lives Matter movement, and following the grand jury's decision not to charge the police officers involved in Breonna Taylor's murder.
There is also serious inequity regarding the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on Black communities, and Megan has regularly spoken out regarding the dangers facing Black women right now.
