Manchester United’s return to the Champions League is universally pleasing. That is the view of Red Devils hero Ryan Giggs, who is delighted that his former side had what it takes to brush off the challenge of Leicester to secure a third-placed Premier League finish.

The Wales boss played for the United first-team between 1990 and 2014, winning 13 league titles, seven domestic cups and the Champions League twice.

The 46-year-old has now picked out why it will not just be fans of the club who are pleased to see them back at elite level, and why Liverpool and Manchester City supporters will be secretly happy.
