Rio Ferdinand criticised Pep Guardiola for opting to change Manchester City’s usual tactics for their disappointing Champions League loss to Lyon.The Premier League side suffered a shock 3-1 loss at the hands of the Ligue 1 side on Saturday to send them crashing out of the competition at the quarter-final stage.Guardiola left David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden on the bench and decided to play a more defensive game to try to stifle their opponents.And the Spaniard was made to pay for his decision as City failed to produce, especially in the first-half, and did not look themselves throughout the contest.When Guardiola did change things, he only brought on Mahrez early in the second-half, and Silva with just minutes.
