Silva departed City this week after a decorated ten-year spell, joining Real Sociedad in La Liga. He leaves the Premier League as one of the best foreign players to play in England, and his contribution to City's success has not gone unrecognised by the club.
Chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak confirmed the club will erect a statue of Silva outside the Etihad, while he has had a training pitch at the CFA named after him with a personalised mosaic.
Previous departing players like Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and Toure have been given similar honours. But Toure, who joined City at the same time as Silva.
