Russia warns ISS could be 'dropped' on European enemies over Ukraine war sanctions

Dimitry Rogozin, chief of Roscomos, took to Twitter in response to US President Joe Biden's announcement that Russia will face sanctions for invading Ukraine, asking: "Who will save the space station from an uncontrolled deorbit?"In a series of chilling tweets, he listed India, China, America and Europe as options for the 500-tonne drop.He added: "If you block cooperation with us, who will save the ISS from uncontrolled deorbiting and falling into the United States or Europe?"There is also the option of dropping a 500-ton structure to India and China.
Do you want to threaten them with such a prospect? "The ISS does not fly over Russia, so all the risks are yours. Are you ready for them?"The threats come after President Biden threatened to cut off tech imports with Russia in an attempt to slow down their high-tech military.
He said: "We estimate that we'll cut off more than half of Russia's high-tech imports. That will strike a blow to their ability to continue to modernize their military.
