Residents left to tidy south Manchester park after it was used for 'careless' bank holiday parties

South Manchester residents have expressed their anger after discovering rubbish left in a popular park after a bank holiday party.

Residents using Highfield Country Park in Levenshulme discovered the party rubbish including broken glass, food wrappers, and gas canisters while using the park on Tuesday morning (May 26).

There were also packages with white residue left on them. “I went on my morning run and went past the picnic area and saw it all,” resident Sophie Sveinsson told the M.E.N. “I go there daily for a run and I take my kids there for their daily exercise.
