dad has been left furious after his daughter was given an all-day in-school suspension after the principal said her hoodie and leggings were 'inappropriate'.Clint Fore said his 11-year-old daughter, who has never been in trouble before, was told she violated the dress code for her baggy hoodie she wore to school. The police lieutenant, from Harrison county in Mississippi, says daughter Shiloh was shocked when she arrived home and was "embarrassed" and "upset".The fifth-grader had gone to school that morning in a pair of black leggings and a baggy hoodie over the top, which reached "almost down to her freaking knees", her dad added. But West Wortham Elementary and Middle School's principal didn't agree, The Mirror reports. The 11-year-old says she was immediately stopped by principal Michael Weaver when she arrived for classes and was told to spend the entire day in in-school suspension, or ISS, after 'violating' the dress code.Shiloh said she was one of many students, all female, who had been stopped that morning and sent to ISS for similar violations. The incident left her embarrassed and upset and said the time in ISS was "scary" and "it made her have a lot of anxiety".She said: “My hand wouldn’t stop shaking.
And I did not know what to do.”Fuming dad Clint emailed the principal claiming his daughter had been treated unfairly and attached a photo of the clothes which had started the issue.“Here we are in 2022 and girls have to worry about wearing outfits that aren’t even inappropriate,” he wrote.“Young kids, especially girls at or around my daughter’s age are going through a bunch of changes.
