Rebekah Vardy admits she's always 'bad cop' when disciplining her and Jamie's kids

Rebekah Vardy revealed that she plays "bad cop" in her house as she and hubby Jamie unveil their first children's book.The couple – who have six children between them and three together – have penned a cute tale about a sloth who wants to be a footballer together.Rebekah, 40, said on Instagram that the pair created the book "with the purpose of helping to make all children feel happy and confident".And she's now opened up about how important reading time is in their own home.She told the Mirror that one of their "big things" is encouraging the kids to settle down with a book instead of screen time."The kids hate us for it - but I think it's so important that with everything that’s going on at the moment, that kids are just allowed to be kids," she said."The kind of messages you can get from books are just invaluable and you can't get that from a PlayStation or the iPad."Rebekah said the couple play good cop, bad cop and that she tends to be the one who says no to their brood more often, while footy ace Jamie is more inclined to say yes."I lose count of how many times I say no in a day, or don't do that, or come on, put your shoes on!" she said as she opened up about her sweet family life.

The couple's book is called Cedric The Little Sloth With A Big Dream, and follows a sloth who has to shake off stereotypes about being slow to pursue his football ambitions.To mark the launch, Rebekah shared an adorable snap of her and Jamie's three children - Sofia, six, Finlay, four, and Olivia, one - reading the sweet story."It's so cute to see their little faces light up with enjoyment from something that we created with the purpose of helping to make all children feel happy and confident," she gushed.For more of the latest showbiz.
