Rafa Nadal's pregnant wife Xisca has been admitted to hospital and could have to undergo an operation just days before the start of the US Open.Xisca, who is 31 weeks into her pregnancy, has been admitted to a private clinic room in Palma - close to the couple's home Mallorca - and won't be travelling to the States to join her husband.According to Diorio de Mallorca, the 34-year-old could undergo an operation imminently if treatment is recommended by her doctors - who are taking every precaution in order to prevent any complications at such a crucial stage of her pregnancy.READ MORE: Emma Raducanu knocked out of US Open preparation tournament by heiress to £4.5bn fortuneWhile it isn't known precisely why Xisca has been admitted to hospital, it's understood that the issue is only a minor complication, and nothing too serious.She's currently pregnant with her and husband's first child, though the two have been in a relationship since 2005 and have been married since 2019.Xisca's mother, father and sister are understood to be with her at the hospital, with Nadal remaining in the US to prepare for the upcoming tournament.Nadal heads into the final grand slam of the year having already won the Australian Open and the French Open.
