RACING was a big winner at the Sports Business Awards on Wednesday, with the Jockey Club and Sky Sports Racing emerging victorious at the virtual ceremony.

The sport faced stiff competition at the event, hosted by sports broadcaster Hazel Irvine, with football’s Premier League, the Cricket World Cup and Wimbledon tennis all represented.

But Jockey Club Services landed the Best Business Serving Sport award, while the prize for Best In Sports Media went to Sky Sports Racing - At The Races.

The Jockey Club’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Scott Bowers said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition for the team’s hard work. “Jockey Club Services was set up to help support the wider sports industry by sharing the expertise,
