Schools in Greater Manchester have fallen victim to a TikTok trend in which teachers are impersonated online. The trend, which involves pupils setting up fake accounts using pictures of staff taken from school websites, has been happening across the country.
Teaching unions yesterday, Monday, met with representatives of the social media platform after demanding it take further action to tackle the recent spate of posts, which they said contained 'imagery and comments that are extremely offensive to school staff and have caused huge distress'.
