A Sunday People investigation indicates more than HALF our boozers are failing to record contact details of drinkers which are vital for the NHS test-and-trace system to limit outbreaks.
Our findings raise worrying new questions about the effectiveness of the system which is a cornerstone of the Government’s plan to control the pandemic.
And they come after local councils called for new powers to close down pubs and clubs that fail to take customer details and break social distancing rules.
