Bob Merlis, a representative, said that Goldberg died in hospice care after a 10-year struggle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, with his wife of 53 years, Gail Goldberg, and son, Aram, at his bedside.

Dead & Company have announced a 2025 residency at Las Vegas venue, the Sphere.The band – who are made up of Grateful Dead‘s Bob Weir and Mickey Hart alongside John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti and Jay Lane – return to a venue after a wildly successful residency this year, which saw the band perform in front of the Sphere’s 240-foot screens from May to July 2024.This time, the 2025 residency will see dates through March to May 2025. Phil Lesh, the bassist and founding member of the ultimate San Francisco jam band The Grateful Dead, died today. He was 84.

Treatment’s Sam Pattinson is the show’s executive producer but, above and beyond that, shares creative director credit with Dead & Company band member John Mayer, after a decade’s worth of collaborations with Mayer on the singer-guitarist’s solo tours.

The funds go towards benefitting the voter registration non-profit HeadCount, along with environmental group Reverb and numerous other organizations. The summer trek, which kicked off earlier this May in Los Angeles, features original members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti and Jay Lane and officially concluded on July 16 with a sold-out show at San Fransisco’s Oracle Park.
