pubs and restaurants due to fears about the Omicron coronavirus variant.According to a government source, the plans have already been drawn up to be imposed over the Christmas period and look set to disrupt New Year parties up and down the country.The imposing of these rules comes as fears grow over Omicron reaching its peak in January.Speaking to The Sun, a government source said: “You will be able to see your family at Christmas, but at this rate, you might not be able to do it in a pub."As for New Year’s Eve, that is a different story.”However, Health Secretary Sajid Javid has insisted there are currently “no plans” for any more restriction to come in at the moment following last week's announcement of Plan B.
