This is the moment armed police stormed one of the Trafford Centre car parks after reports of a man with a gun. The drama unfolded shortly after 1pm this afternoon.
A call was made to police claiming a man was carrying a firearm on Barton Road in Eccles. A suspect was then traced to one of the shopping centre's car parks. Two people can also be seen lying face down on the ground. One-by-one they are then ordered to stand up and walk towards the officers with their hands on their head before being grabbed.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they descended on the car park as one of the group matched the description given in the original call.
