Prince Harry has been slammed by a royal photographer for using a "lame excuse" to miss Prince Philip’s memorial service, claiming he has "burnt his boats" with the Firm.
Arthur Edwards, who has been snapping the Royal Family since 1977, has claimed Harry "lost out" because he stayed away "in his big house"."Royals young and old came from far and wide to Westminster Abbey yesterday to pay tribute to Prince Philip – except one," he wrote in a column for The Scottish Sun.
He added: “Prince Harry ’s excuse for avoiding the memorial service for his own grandfather because of “security fears” is, quite frankly, lame. “Harry couldn’t be bothered to take a few days off from Netflix, or feeding his chickens in the US, to honour the grandfather who always supported him."The photographer went on to say that Philip had "was always there" for Harry.“Whether walking with the 12-year-old Prince behind his mother’s coffin, or giving support while Harry was on active service in Afghanistan, Philip was always there for him," he said.“Sadly, he chose to stay away in his big house.
