Newcastle by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman is reportedly in fresh doubt. It is over three months since Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is believed to have agreed to sell the club to PIF for £300m.
The deal has been awaiting approval from the Premier League, though plenty of hurdles have been put in the way. And reports now suggested there is fresh doubt due to the Saudi-led consortium failing to provide the Premier League with clarity over the link between the PIF and the Saudi government.The Telegraph claim that PIF are struggling to satisfy the Prem over who the ownership hierarchy are and who the main decision-makers will be.
