Premier League football clubs are for a huge payout as American broadcasters battle it out to secure the TV rights of the league for $2billion (£1.5billion).English football’s elite division looks poised to solidify itself as the most lucrative league in the world as reports suggest it could earn double what was initially negotiated in 2015.Indeed, the Financial Times report that CBS, ESPN and NBC are all hoping for a chance to receive rights to show off the Premier League on their channels, while bids by second-round bids by Disney's ESPN, Comcast's NBC, and ViacomCBS are due by November 18.At present, it’s NBC who has the right to broadcast games, following the deal they made in 2015 for around $1m (£745m).
