Popular teacher who survived Covid-19 pleads with people to stick to lockdown restrictions

A South Lanarkshire teacher who recovered from coronavirus has urged everyone to stick to the lockdown restrictions to help stop the spread of the deadly virus.Uddingston's Robert Coyle, 58, thanked staff at University Hospital Monklands along with the hundreds of friends, family, pupils and colleagues who have phoned, messaged and posted on social media messages of support after he spent eight days in intensive care.His recovery delighted everyone he has taught during his 37 years as a maths teacher, firstly at Claremont High School and currently at Calderglen High School.Special praise, however, was reserved for his wife Marie - “the rock” who helped him win his battle.Robert said has "no idea" how he caught the virus but encouraged
