Police update after woman filmed fighting in Mother's Day group brawl

Merseyside police have confirmed they will launch an investigation into a Mother's Day fight that kicked off. Footage shared online shows a clip of the incident which involved a group of women brawling on Mother's Day at the Baltic Triangle, Jamaica Street at around 3.20pm on Sunday, March 19.

In the video a group of women can be seen arguing. Shortly after one woman falls backwards onto the floor with the group then moving towards her while another woman begins to hit her.

THe group of around 10 women are then seen screaming as a number of them attempt to break the fight up. Read more: 'My ex collapsed while out on a jog - it turned our lives upside down' The man filming can be heard laughing and saying "happy Mother's Day" to a lad next to him.

A number of women can also be heard screaming "get off" as the fight carries on. Another person is heard shouting "stop it now." A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We can confirm that a report was received of an altercation in Jamaica Street, Liverpool at 3.20pm yesterday, Sunday 19 March.
