North Ayrshire residents from travelling to an island within their own local authority. It's been reported that cops on the Isle of Arran have turned travellers back to the mainland after getting the ferry to the island.Tough lockdown rules changed on Friday and now residents can go out for non-essential purposes within their local authorities.The public can only go outwith their local authority for an essential reason.But despite the rule change, dozens of North Ayrshire residents have reported being turned back upon arriving in Brodick since Friday.Kenneth Gibson, SNP candidate for Cunninghame North said that police were called after passengers from Glasgow and Lanarkshire boarded the Calmac ferry and North Ayrshire locals were caught up.
