Police put a dispersal order in place to deal with anti-social behaviour after "unsavoury scenes" broke out in Cardiff Bay. South Wales Police were called to monitor the area as crowds of young people met up in Roald Dahl Plass, in the shadow of the Wales Millennium Centre, on Saturday evening.
On Sunday morning the area was littered with bottles, laughing gas canisters and plastic bags, Wales Online reports. A "small number" of people were arrested for being drunk and disorderly after several disturbances broke out.
