PIERS Morgan has paid an emotional tribute to his friend Kate Garraway after her harrowing documentary about caring for her husband Derek Draper aired.
The 54-year-old Good Morning Britain star has been looking after the former spin doctor alongside a carer since he returned from hospital in April.
The reality of her exhausting task was laid bare in ITV's Kate Garraway: Caring For Derek, which left many in tears when it aired last night.
Retweeted Kate's message saying she was "so proud" of the doc, Piers wrote: "This was such unbelievably heart-rending television. "Keep battling, Kate - you and your remarkable family are a towering testament to the power of stoicism, courage & never-give-up spirit in the face of appalling adversity." He concluded: "Love you all. ❤️." Derek, a former spin doctor, was struck down with coronavirus in March 2020 and put into an induced coma by doctors.
