Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has opened up on his fears for the Queen after Prince Charles tested positive for Covid-19 just two days after seeing her.

Piers said he feels "deep unease" about the news.It is the second time Charles has contracted the virus, testing positive on Thursday (February 10) morning.

Just two days before, he held an investiture at Windsor Castle, where the Queen, 95, is currently in residence.Buckingham Palace has not confirmed whether she has tested positive or negative for the virus, citing medical privacy. But Piers has made his feelings about the issue very clear, taking to Twitter to say: "Prince Charles testing positive for Covid just 2 days after seeing the Queen is filling me with deep unease."It comes after Piers slammed the government’s decision to scrap the mandatory five days of self-isolation after a positive Covid result, as he followed up: "I agree with lifting Covid restriction in UK, apart from the requirement to isolate for 5 days if positive."How is it sensible to let infected people go out and infect lots of other people, including vulnerable elderly or those with co-morbidities?

Seems too soon to do that."He went on to describe his own issues with long Covid, telling his 7.9million followers: “I’ve had 8 months of zero smell, very limited taste and endless fatigue issues… this is not the flu."Last year, Piers opened up about his struggles with the virus, opening up on the unusual symptoms he was presented with as he wrote: “A new treat - aside from ongoing tedious fatigue and inability to taste wine, all the coughing's caused a 'posterior vitreous detachment' in my left eye."I'm now seeing weird ghostly cobwebs swimming around.
