Piers Morgan has urged Arsenal to try to sign Cristiano Ronaldo if the Portuguese superstar is booted out of Manchester United this summer.
The TV personality, who has consistently criticised Mikel Arteta and his decision to allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave in January, wants the Gunners to move for Ronaldo to bring in star quality amid their current problems in front of goal.
Arteta’s men have lost their last three games in the Premier League and have scored just once. Club legend Ian Wright spoke about how his former club are lacking a player that can decide results after squandering several chances in their 1-0 defeat to Southampton.
The result leaves Arsenal four points behind Tottenham after they missed the chance to capitalise on Spurs’ shock defeat at home to Brighton.And former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan appeared to agree with Wright, stating on his official Twitter account that his team should do everything they can to sign Ronaldo in the upcoming transfer window.
