This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield accidentally gazed directly into a very bright lamp and burned his eyes lives on the ITV programme.Phil and co-star Rochelle Humes were both testing out various devices which help combat seasonal affective disorder when the blunder happened.The pair were hosting the daytime show on Monday when Phili suffered the awkward accident.
He was using a SAD Lamp, which is ten times stronger than a regular lightbulb, just inches away from his face.Dr Philippa Kaye had warned not to look directly into it but he did anyhow.He stated: "You could have told me that before I looked into it!"She laughed and said: "Sit a couple of feet away from that whilst you read the paper, do your work, read your script there Phillip."Elsewhere viewers of the show were left puzzled after Holly Willoughby failed to return to the show.Phillip had previously said his regular co-host would be off work for two weeks, was again hosting alongside former The Saturdays star Rochelle for the third week running.One fan tweeted: "How long is this (supposed) two weeks without Holly going to be???"Another said: "So the two-week break for Holly has turned into two weeks and a day?"Others typed: "Where's Holly?" with one fuming at the line-up on Twitter, writing: "FFS thought Holly was back today."Later during the show, The Masked Singer's Jaime Winstone revealed that she told celeb pal and show judge Rita Ora she would "never compete on the show".The 33-year-old actress was unmasked as Firework in a double elimination over the weekend, much to her good friend Rita's surprise.Jaime also appeared on Monday's episode of This Morning, where she was grilled by presenters Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes - who insisted Rita.
