Dancing on Ice host Phillip Schofield has issued fans an update after testing positive for Covid. This Morning anchor Phil usually co-hosts the star-studded ITV ice skating show with his TV wife Holly Willoughby. The 59-year-old was left gutted as he had to drop out on last week's live show as he was forced to isolate at home whilst he recovered from the virus.Phil watched the show on TV at home with a G&T after he was replaced by Catchphrase presenter Stephen Mulhern - and he jokingly told Stephen not to have "too much fun" in his role. However, Phillip was excited to announce to fans that he was finally free from his Covid isolation after getting two negative lateral flow tests.Taking to Instagram, Phil shared a snap of his negative covid test with the caption: "It's official!!!
2 days negative... I'm FREEE"It came after he shared an initial covid test on Monday night - telling fans:" Oh hello!! What do we have here?", adding a fingers-crossed emoji.Phil had previously admitted he was "bored out of his brain" during self-isolation.The TV legend issued a public apology to his pal Holly as he was unable to present This Morning with her like usual. But it seems he's set to return to work now he's able to go out and about.Appearing on Monday's This Morning (February 7), Holly told Phil: "We obviously missed you hugely on Dancing on Ice.
That was so weird. I’ve never ever done that show with anyone else apart from you."Phil told viewers he was "absolutely perfectly okay".He explained: "A week ago I had a slightly scratchy throat for an hour which prompted me to test and it came up positive and it's been positive ever since - but I feel great."I’ve ploughed my way through box sets, I’ve been cooking, I’ve been wandering around.
