BBC Breakfast bosses planning for major set overhaul to emulate US morning show
BBC Breakfast viewers will be in for a shock soon, as the studio is set for a major overhaul and will copy popular US morning talk shows. The BBC programme has been a staple of our screens for decades, with presenters sitting together on the iconic red sofa with a low table in front of them to place laptops and papers on.Behind presenters like Naga Munchetty, Sally Nugent and Charlie Stayt is the typical photographic backdrop of the Media City skyline in Salford Quays. But all of that is set to change, as bosses are planning to ditch the traditional format for something more along the lines of Piers Morgan's TalkTV show Uncensored, which features a high desk and scrolling news headlines.Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, a BBC source confirmed: "There's disruption behind the scenes as BBC Breakfast is getting a new set in the next few months."It will be the first time they've changed it since they moved to Salford in 2012, so all in all everything will look very different in the coming months."The source added: "Apparently they want it to look a bit more like a US breakfast show and might have windows and people walking past."It was reported in May that the BBC is working to revamp Studio B, with RX:TV reporting at the time that the building - which housed Victoria Derbyshire and Newsnight - is due to be revealed soon. The publication reported bosses were "concerned" that the studio's output had "fallen behind" what viewers expect from the national broadcaster. It added that the BBC Breakfast studio - which is shared with North West Tonight - is filmed in a space originally intended to be an office space, "with a relatively low ceiling for TV studios".Director General Tim Davie allegedly announced to staff that all regional

BBC Breakfast in chaos as weather star is 'booted from studio' in technical blunder
BBC Breakfast suffered a major technical blunder which ruined a weekend weather segment. The flagship BBC One breakfast show saw weekend hosts Victoria Derbyshire and Roger Johnson take the reigns on Sunday (May 1), but it all went wrong when they tried to get the latest weather updates. The hosts handed over to BBC weather star Louise Lear, who told viewers all about what conditions they can expect from the May bank holiday weekend.Louise gave a professional weekend weather forecast, but her segment was cut short by a glaring technical gaffe which saw her vanish from the studio completely. To make matters worse, host Roger had been talking to Louise when she disappeared to reveal a blank screen, so he wasn't able to finish what he was saying.Presenters Victoria and Roger were left baffled by the blunder, but Victoria quipped Louise had 'had enough' of her co-star Roger.Reacting to the gaffe, Roger said "oh, off she went" before joking "someone's pulling the plugs out all over the place" in the studio.Victoria then teased: "She's had enough of you!", suggesting she must have decided to leave the video link early instead being forced off of the screen by a tech issue. The hosts burst out laughing before trying their best to move on with the show.Breakfast suffered another major gaffe this weekend when Naga Munchetty accidentally confused PM Boris Johnson with disgraced tennis star Boris Becker. She was telling viewers about the news Boris Becker had been jailed on Friday afternoon after hiding £2.5million worth of assets and loans to avoid paying off debts. The six-time Grand Slam champion was found guilty of four charges under the Insolvency Act and has been jailed for two and a half years. There's MUCH more where that came

BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty claps back as troll says she didn't 'get dressed'
BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty knew exactly how to respond to a troll who swiped at her outfit.Naga woke up for work an donned a stunning silky dress with a brown hue which belted at the centre and buttoned right down to the floor as she hosted the show with Charlie Stayt on Friday morning. While Naga looked utterly stunning in the dress as she donned the perfect daytime combo with a swipe of a maroon shade lippy on her mouth, it seems not all were impressed. In fact, some viewers thought it looked as though Naga was wearing "pyjamas", with one person taking to Twitter to write: "Nice to see Naga wearing the pyjamas of a sexy bond villain."While another said: "What is Naga wearing? We all know from watching Breakfast news over the years how people should appear on a BBC Breakfast show. Her brown gown looks ridiculous and sloppy."Meanwhile, a third person directed the tweet exactly at Naga, writing: "Sweetheart, did you forget to dressed this morning?"While another chirped: "Yes sweetheart x."It is not the first run-in that Naga has had with a troll online, as just last week she was forced to hit out at a troll once again who moaned that she was hosting the show - despite having a day off.Ben Thompson and Victoria Derbyshire headed up the show on the morning in question, and while many viewers were quick to complain online, one person slammed Naga, despite being on the show. One person wrote: "Just had to turn Naga [on BBC Breakfast] off again.
