Danger Mouse and Black Thought will soon unleash their highly anticipated collaborative album Cheat Codes this Friday, August 12. It does feel something like an event thanks to the pedigree of the two principal artists – Danger Mouse rode his Beatles/JAY-Z mashup project The Grey Album to become an in-demand producer, and Black Thought is widely regarded as one of the best rappers ever.

Tame Impala’s full line-up for this year’s All Points East appearance has been unveiled.Joining Kevin Parker and the band at London’s Victoria Park on August 25 will be Omar Apollo, Working Men’s Cub, Mattiel and Q.The festival will return for two editions in 2022, running run across two weekends: Friday, August 19 – Saturday, August 20 and Thursday, August 25 – Sunday, August 28.Other acts headlining across the dates include Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The National, Kraftwerk, The Chemical Brothers, Disclosure and Gorillaz.

Danger Mouse and Black Thought have announced that they’ll be dropping a collaborative album this summer.Set to be released on August 12 via BMG, ‘Cheat Codes’ is Danger Mouse’s first hip-hop full-length since his ‘DANGERDOOM’ collaboration with the late MF DOOM which was released back in October 2005.It follows Black Thought’s pioneering output with legendary Philadelphia group The Roots and his critically acclaimed solo trilogy, ‘Streams Of Thought’ – the third volume of which was released in 2020.‘Cheat Codes’ – which was initially rumoured to be called ‘Dangerous Thoughts’ – is something that the pair began the initial idea for “maybe 13 or 14 years ago”, Black Thought revealed when he first teased the project in an interview back in 2020.“It’s a feel-good record,” he said. “It’s a record for people who got into hip-hop and sort of evolved at the same period of time that we did. Mad Cool has launched two new events for 2022, Mad Cool Sunset and the Andalucia Big Festival.The original Madrid festival will take place between July 6-10, with the likes of Metallica, Muse, The Killers, Haim and Florence + The Machine set to perform.Organisers have now announced Mad Cool Sunset, a one-day concert that’s scheduled for Saturday, September 10.
