Michael Kiwanuka has announced details of his fourth studio album ‘Small Changes‘, his first since 2019’s ‘Kiwanuka’.The album is set for release on November 15, and was produced alongside Danger Mouse and Inflo, who also produced the Mercury Prize-winning ‘Kiwanuka’. As well as the album announcement, the singer-songwriter has shared two tracks, ‘Lockdown (part i)’ and ‘Lockdown (part ii)’, his first new music since the album’s lead single and opener ‘Floating Parade‘, released in July.The bass-heavy ‘Lowdown (part i)’ is full of soulful guitar, while ‘Lowdown (part ii)’ is a more atmospheric, psychedelic track, but both feel quintessentially Kiwanuka.The album was born out of a period of change in the singer’s life, most notably the arrival of two children and a move away from London – he was born and raised in the borough of Muswell Hill in the north of the city.

SAULT have released a surprise new album ‘Acts Of Faith’, consisting of a single, 32-minute track.The album, which has been produced by the group’s de facto leader Inflo, has been made available as a .wav file and released via Forever Living Originals.In typically unconventional style, the band posted an image of a vintage TV displaying the title ‘Acts Of Faith’ over a dark and rainy street background, and with no further information other than a link that fans can follow to download the music.See the post here:https://t.co/gkoeXfFC9d

Sault have confirmed the date of their debut live show and have also revealed plans for a world tour.In the first of two Instagram posts, the group posted an image that reads: “Acts of Faith. December 14th.

Sault have teased that they will soon be playing a set of new music live for one time only. Last week (November 25), Sault posted a message on their official Instagram account that read: “SAULT LIVE, LONDON, 2023”. They captioned the image with the words, “Sharing our gifts”.

Sault have teased that they will be playing a live show in London before the end of the year in a post on Instagram.The mysterious British collective have still never made any live appearances since their emergence in 2019, nor have they given any interviews or officially confirmed the identity of their members.But today (November 25), they posted on their official Instagram account an image that reads: “SAULT LIVE, LONDON, 2023”. They captioned the image with the words, ‘Sharing our gifts”.A post shared by SAULT (@saultglobal)In November 2022, the band also took to their Instagram, asking fans, “If we were to do a live show…which songs would you want to hear?”Sault surprise released five new albums last November – ‘Untitled (God)’, ’11’, ‘Aiir’, ‘Earth’ and ‘Today And Tomorrow’ – “as an offering to God”.

Sault appear to be teasing a new project called ‘Air’ after wiping their instagram and uploading five snippets of new music – listen below.The series of new posts begins with an image that sees the word “Air” written onto a blank background, similar to album covers for Sault’s previous records ‘5’, ‘7’ and ‘Nine’.A post shared by SAULT (@saultglobal)That post is then followed by five of the same image of a painted figure looking out over the Earth from on high. Each one is accompanied by a snippet of music and what could be song titles.‘Solar’, ‘Heart’, ‘Lous Higher’ and ‘Air’ are all snippets of bold, atmospheric instrumentals with an orchestral edge while ‘Time Is Precious’ features the choral lyrics: “Don’t waste time, ‘cos time is precious/ It’s your only time you got here, life will always bring its pressures/ Use it wisely, keep those treasures.”Check it out below:A post shared by SAULT (@saultglobal)The band took a similar approach for ‘Nine’, which was first mentioned in an Instagram post and then released in full a few weeks later.Sault were nominated for the 2021 Mercury Music Prize for their album ‘Untitled (Rise)’.
