Karen O and Danger Mouse have shared their new single ‘Super Breath’, marking their first new music together since 2019.Opening with a pulsing bass line combined with a chilling synth melody, O sings: “quit playin’ cool / push me aside / I die each time / I’m not your fool,” describing the feelings with an unfulfilled love.The new track comes along with the announcement of a reissue of the duo’s 2019 LP ‘Lux Prima’ which will be re-released on September 19. The reissue will include a 7″pressing of ‘Super Breath’ with their previously recorded cover of Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’ as the B-side.It will also include a 16-page booklet highlighting the Encounter With Lux Prima immersive listening event at Los Angeles’s Marciano Arts Foundation.

Michael Kiwanuka has announced details of his fourth studio album ‘Small Changes‘, his first since 2019’s ‘Kiwanuka’.The album is set for release on November 15, and was produced alongside Danger Mouse and Inflo, who also produced the Mercury Prize-winning ‘Kiwanuka’. As well as the album announcement, the singer-songwriter has shared two tracks, ‘Lockdown (part i)’ and ‘Lockdown (part ii)’, his first new music since the album’s lead single and opener ‘Floating Parade‘, released in July.The bass-heavy ‘Lowdown (part i)’ is full of soulful guitar, while ‘Lowdown (part ii)’ is a more atmospheric, psychedelic track, but both feel quintessentially Kiwanuka.The album was born out of a period of change in the singer’s life, most notably the arrival of two children and a move away from London – he was born and raised in the borough of Muswell Hill in the north of the city.

Danger Mouse & Jemini are set to finally release their long-delayed 2004 album ‘Born Again’.The producer, musician and songwriter (real name Brian Joseph Burton) teamed up with Brooklyn rapper Jemini (aka Jemini The Gifted One) to make the collaborative record almost 20 years ago.Consisting of 10 previously unheard tracks, ‘Born Again’ is due to arrive on August 25 via Lex Records (pre-order/pre-save here). Danger Mouse and Black Thought have shared a second song from their upcoming debut collaborative debut album ‘Cheat Codes‘ – listen to ‘Because’ below.‘Because’ follows ‘No Gold Teeth’, which was released last month, and features guest turns by Joey Bada$$, Russ and Dylan Cartlidge.Set to be released on August 12 via BMG, ‘Cheat Codes’ is Danger Mouse’s first hip-hop full-length since his ‘DANGERDOOM’ collaboration with the late MF DOOM which was released in October 2005.Joey Bada$$ said: “I’ve always been a big fan of Black Thought and Danger Mouse. I think Black Thought is one of the greatest rappers ever, so when they asked me to get on this record, it was a no-brainer, plus the record is fire!“I still remember the first time I heard ‘You Got Me’ the video was shot on my great-grandmother’s block and I was actually there that day when I was a child.

Danger Mouse and Black Thought of The Roots have announced details of a forthcoming joint album. Cheat Codes will be released on August 12 via BMG and features appearances from A$AP Rocky and Run The Jewels on one track, Conway The Machine, Raekwon, Kid Sister, and Joey Bada$$ among others.
