Paramount+ has just unveiled the full trailer for one of the most eagerly awaited new shows set to debut this festive season.

Paramount+ is all set to whisk us away with its adaptation of Beth O’Leary’s popular novel The Road Trip, which sees former flames Addie and Dylan sharing a ride to a wedding. But the romcom's journey to our screens was almost cut short – Laurie Davidson, who stars as Dylan, had a brush with death on a real-life road trip. "I was in Costa Rica on holiday half way through filming and I was driving to the coast on a two-and-a-half hour drive," Laurie shared in a chat with The Mirror's We Love TV.

Prepare for edge-of-your-seat drama as new show The Killing Kind, based on Jane Casey’s novel of the same name, arrives on our screens.The series follows barrister Ingrid (Emma Appleton) as she slowly begins to suspect that her ex-boyfriend John Webster (Merlin and The Crown star Colin Morgan), who she defended against stalking charges, is the one making her life a terrifying misery. Emma, 31, reveals that putting herself in Ingrid’s fearful mindset proved to be a “gruelling” process. "Doing a psychological thriller for four months and playing a character who is paranoid, scared and nervous, you spend most of your day feeling like that,” she says.
