Paramount+ is all set to whisk us away with its adaptation of Beth O’Leary’s popular novel The Road Trip, which sees former flames Addie and Dylan sharing a ride to a wedding.
But the romcom's journey to our screens was almost cut short – Laurie Davidson, who stars as Dylan, had a brush with death on a real-life road trip. "I was in Costa Rica on holiday half way through filming and I was driving to the coast on a two-and-a-half hour drive," Laurie shared in a chat with The Mirror's We Love TV. "I took a scenic route and it turned out to be a seasonal road for quad bikes.
It was narrow with sheer drops and there was one point where I had to open my door to make sure that the wheels weren’t hanging off the edge of the cliff.
