Big Boys, one of Channel 4‘s biggest comedies of the decade, has been renewed for a third and final season. Watch the trailer below.

K.J. Yossman Edinburgh Fringe-originated college comedy series “Big Boys” is set to end after Season 3, Variety can confirm. The show, which launched in 2022 after a run at the famous Scottish arts festival, stars Dylan Llewellyn and Jon Pointing as unlikely flatmates, who are thrown together in their first year at Brent University.

He got his big break in 2018 when he landed the role of James Maguire in Derry Girls, and now Dylan Llewellyn is back on our TV screens in BBC's Death in Paradise spin-off show, Beyond Paradise.The actor plays PC Kelby Hartford in the hit show, supporting DI Humphrey Goodman, played by Kris Marshall. Dylan, 31, has had a hugely successful few years and has definitely found his feet in the acting industry.The actor began his career on E4 soap Hollyoaks, in which he played Martin 'Jono' Johnson in 94 episodes, with the character eventually being killed off. Following his soap stint, Dylan made appearances in Holby City as well as films Frequencies and Down Dog.

Big Boys creator Jack Rooke based the programme on his comedy stage shows Good Grief , Happy Hour and Love Letters .

Zayn Malik is reportedly writing new music for the upcoming animated movie 10 Lives.According to Variety, Malik is serving as the film’s executive music producer, and will oversee the film’s musical direction. He will write music for 10 Lives alongside his next studio album with Mercury Records.The film will centre around a spoilt cat who literally has nine lives – and takes them all for granted.

Leo Barraclough International Features Editor Uncork’d Entertainment has acquired the North American rights for suspense sci-fi thriller “I’ll Be Watching” from Iuvit Media Sales at the European Film Market in Berlin. The film has also been picked up by Falcon Films in the Middle East and North Africa, while Dolphin Medien has taken German-speaking territory rights. The film is directed by Erik Bernard (“Free Dead or Alive”), and stars “The 100” stars Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley, along with Bryan Batt (“12 Years a Slave”), David Keith (“An Officer and a Gentleman”), Hannah Fierman (“VHS”), and Seth Michaels (“Red Notice”).

Big Boys has been renewed for a “bigger and better” second series on Channel 4.Created and written by comedian Jack Rooke, the first series of the show followed a young adult named Jack (Derry Girl‘s Dylan Llewellyn) as he set off to uni after the death of his father, explored his sexuality and formed a strong bond with roommate Danny (Jon Pointing).The first series received widespread critical acclaim, with The Guardian describing it as a “warm and witty sitcom” that “tackles coming out and coming of age”.Speaking of the show’s renewal, Rooke said: “The response to Big Boys series one has been so phenomenally kind, heartwarming and beyond anything any of us could have hoped for.“The fact we got onto Gogglebox is probably the proudest moment of mine and my mums lives (she got over 100 likes on Facebook for it!).“And so after a huge spitroast at Harvester, I decided I probably do have some more embarrassing stories about me & my mates to mine for comic material so get ready for an even more cringe second year at Brent University.”Charlie Perkins, Head of Comedy at Channel 4, said: “I’m so happy to confirm that Big Boys is returning.“This is one of my first commissions as Head of Comedy at Channel 4 and it fits squarely into what I think makes the greatest comedy; so much heart blended with so much silliness.

Death in Paradise star Kris Marshall is soon set to reprise his role as DI Humphrey Goodman in the upcoming spin-off series Beyond Paradise. Away from the Caribbean island of Saint-Marie, Beyond Paradise will be set in the British countryside as Humphrey and his fiancée Martha (played by Sally Bretton) navigate their new life together. However, Marshall has revealed the new show will have one major difference to the original series.

Celebrity Gogglebox got in on Pride celebrations on Friday (1 July) with celebrities tuning in to a heartfelt scene from Channel 4 comedy Big Boys. Written by Jack Rooke and starring Dylan Llewellyn and Jon Pointing, the show centres around two "mismatched boys" during their first year of university, and features a particularly poignant coming-out scene.

Celebrity Gogglebox were left in tears after watching the coming out scene from Big Boys. Friday (1 July) night’s episode of the Channel 4 series was a Pride special and saw a group of LGBTQ+ celebrities and their loved ones tune into the week’s biggest shows. The episode closed off with the cast watching sitcom Big Boys, which is based on the life of comedian Jack Rooke (played by Dylan Llewellyn).
