Death in Paradise star Kris Marshall is soon set to reprise his role as DI Humphrey Goodman in the upcoming spin-off series Beyond Paradise.
Away from the Caribbean island of Saint-Marie, Beyond Paradise will be set in the British countryside as Humphrey and his fiancée Martha (played by Sally Bretton) navigate their new life together.
However, Marshall has revealed the new show will have one major difference to the original series. "It's carrying on from where we left Humphrey Goodman and Martha, with their new bucolic south-western lifestyle," he told Radio Times. "The classic Death in Paradise way of wrapping up the show is spun on its head a bit – not every episode is a murder – so more sheep rustling and stuff like that!"It puts an English Riviera spin on the show people know and love.

"Tony Jordan's done a beautiful job on the two or three scripts I've seen," Marshall enthused. "It's exactly what you hope for in terms of if you're a fan of Death in Paradise. "Filming on the spin-off series has already begun and the BBC has confirmed several famous faces in the cast.
