Guy Ritchie‘s untitled new series now is known as MobLand and has moved from Showtime to Paramount+.

Ethan Shanfeld Guy Ritchie‘s organized crime series starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren has finally been given title — “MobLand” — and a March 30 premiere date on Paramount+. In the series, Brosnan plays Conrad, the head of an organized crime family who is fighting for power within a global crime syndicate. As Variety previously reported, the show will center on “two warring families based in London whose enterprises stretch all corners of the globe.” Hardy plays Harry, a “fiercely loyal” fixer who is charged with protecting one of the families at all costs.

Variety has learned exclusively that Paddy Considine (“Houes of the Dragon,” “The Outsider”), Joanne Froggatt (“Downton Abbey,” “Liar”), Lara Pulver (“Da Vinci’s Demons,” “The Alienist”), and Anson Boon (“Pistol,” “1917”) have all been cast in series regular roles in the currently untitled drama. They will star alongside previously announced cast members Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren.

John Lydon has hit out again at his former Sex Pistols bandmates’ new Danny Boyle-directed biopic series, calling them “dead wood” and questioning their talents.Pistol, which is due to premiere on Hulu (and Disney+ where Hulu isn’t available) on May 31, is based off founding member Steve Jones’ memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from A Sex Pistol. The six-episode series is created and written by Craig Pearce.Earlier this month Lydon branded the forthcoming show a “middle class fantasy” that “bears little resemblance to the truth” after claiming in 2021 that it was green-lit without his consent.Now, in a new interview with The Sun, the Public Image Ltd.
