Rufus Wainwright has announced new album ‘Folkocracy’, which will feature guest contributions from David Byrne, ANOHNI, John Legend and more.The album of folk music reinventions – out June 2 via BMG – marks the artist’s upcoming 50th birthday and also features special guests Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Chaka Khan, Andrew Bird, Nicole Scherzinger, Susanna Hoffs, Van Dyke Parks and Madison Cunningham.“This album is almost like a recorded birthday party and birthday present to myself. Miley Cyrus has revealed that her eighth album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ will be split into two parts, ‘AM’ and ‘PM’.The pop star is due to release the 11-song record this Friday (March 10) via Columbia – you can pre-order it here. She released the lead single from the project, ‘Flowers’, in January before posting the full tracklist last month.In a new video on social media, Cyrus offered fans some more information about the themes she explored on the forthcoming LP, which follows on from 2020’s ‘Plastic Hearts’.“When it comes to the sequencing of ‘Endless Summer Vacation’, I divided it by two parts, ‘AM’ and ‘PM’, to kind of represent almost an act,” she explained in the clip.“The ‘AM’ to me is representing the morning time, where there’s a buzz and an energy and there’s a potential of new possibilities. It’s a new day.”As for the ‘PM’ part, the singer said: “At nighttime, it feels like there’s a slinky, seediness and kind of a grime but a glamour at the same time.

Miley Cyrus has scored the longest-running UK Number One single for a female artist since Adele’s ‘Easy On Me’.The US star’s latest single ‘Flowers’ has held the top spot on the Official UK Singles Chart since January 13.As it claimed the Number One position for a seventh week yesterday (March 3), Cyrus became the longest-running female artist at the top of the charts since Adele dominated them with ‘Easy On Me’. That single spent eight non-consecutive weeks at Number One between 2021 and 2022.As well as holding on to the top spot, ‘Flowers’ also remains the most-streamed song in the UK, according to the Official Charts Company.

The previously announced 2023 “Summer Carnival Stadium Tour” features special guests Brandi Carlile and 2022 Hall of Fame inductees Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo on select dates, along with Grouplove and KidCutUp on all tour dates. “Trustfall” features collaborations with Chris Stapleton, the Lumineers, and First Aid Kit, as well as songwriters and producers Max Martin, Shellback, Greg Kurstin, Fred Again, Billy Mann and others. Pink will be appearing on NBC’s “Today,” CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” and a a show takeover special on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
